Inventory Coordinator

Due to our continued growth and exciting period of change, we are on the search for an Inventory Coordinator to support our Inventory team.

How is this role important?

The Inventory team play a critical role in making sure we have products available to our customers in store and online to fulfill our customer promise. Behind the scenes the Inventory Coordinator supports this by:

  • managing the inventory ordering process from end to end,
  • maintain ordering parameters for replenishment,
  • maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy while monitoring inventory for data integrity,
  • review patterns of demand and supply and make recommendations to the inventory team,
  • manage the ordering and delivery of new lines into the business working closely with the category team,
  • manage inventory deliveries and enquiries for the benefit of avoiding impact on delivery to store and customers,
  • coordinate with suppliers regarding stock availability and delivery requirements to ensure inventory is maintained at optimal levels, and
  • attending to enquiries from internal and external stakeholders in a timely and proactive manner to keep all informed on the latest stock order position.

From a business perspective, the role is responsible for liaising with our stores, suppliers and internal departments to ensure that the inventory is accurate and can be used by many to make decisions about product lines, efficiencies within inventory management and optimisation of process and profit.

This is much more than the management of inventory data

Success within this role will require you to be able to:

  • understand the needs of multiple stakeholders and make meaningful connections between the data you are managing to how it can be used to make business critical decisions across different functions,
  • show acute customer awareness - viewing everything "we do through the eyes of our customer',
  • communicate with purpose and understanding so that you can effectively adapt your style to suit diverse audiences in different settings
  • maintain the integrity of data and manage multiple sources of information across the business and the market to provide insights into supply chain and business strategies,
  • show resilience by maintaining clarity and confidence when faced with setbacks or challenges, and
  • demonstrate business savvy in the way you align and prioritise work commitments and make sound decisions to meet organisational goals, visions and values.
