In 2019 Best Friends acquired My Pet Warehouse. Part of this consolidation meant that we now have a Distribution Centre in Altona North. This DC is responsible for the receipt and despatch of our products for delivery to stores and our customers through online delivery.

We are pleased to announce our search for an Inventory & Online Supervisor for our distribution hub adjoining the My Pet Warehouse Store in St. Peters (NSW).

Scope of your contributions

As the lead of the inventory and online teams your focus is to deliver on our Customer Service Promise by ensuring the availability of a fully trained team and stock to fulfill daily online customer orders and optimise sales growth. You will achieve this by:

• Lead and direct the team to receive goods and process the products into the facility and despatch online customer orders in line with business timelines and SOP's,
• Plan team rosters and ensure the continual training and development of the team to deliver on our customer promise,
• Collaborate with Managers and team members across the distribution hub, store and support centre to ensure accurate and efficient dispatch of online customer orders,
• Organise, monitor and control inventory levels across the facility to maximise operational efficiency,
• Conduct and manage regular spot checks, cycle counts and stocktakes to ensure accuracy of stock levels and best practice in all aspects of stock management,
• Manage workflow with a sense of urgency to keep pace with a dynamic workload, whilst delivering work to high standards of accuracy,
• Identify logical solutions and innovative ways to enhance efficiencies by making sound and practical business decisions,
• Adapt approach in real time to match shifting demands and situations, and
• Partner with the Distribution and Logistics Manager, Marketing, Merchandise and Inventory to plan and execute all advertising and sales promotions

• is experienced in leading an inventory and/or online team, having worked with high - volumes of inventory and familiar with the fundamentals of inventory management principles and systems used to monitor and manage inventory,
• approaches each day with a clear appreciation of delivering on our customer promise to fulfill orders in an accurate and timely manner,
• solves problems to ensure stock levels are maintained and processes run smoothly to meet changing customer demands,
• can identify logical solutions and innovative ways to enhance the efficiencies of inventory control,
• manages workflow with a sense of urgency to keep pace with a dynamic workload, whilst delivering work to the highest standard of accuracy, and
• communicates with the business, customers and team in a way that is supportive, collaborative and professional.
